My New Cricut Machine!

One of the Christmas gifts I got this year was a Cricut machine! --Thanks Mom!!  I have been wanting one for a long time and am so excited for all the DIY projects and crafting galore to come!!

The version I got was the Cricut Explore.  This is what it looks like:

When it opens this is what it looks like:

During the cutting process this is what it looks like:

It comes with its own bag which is nice, but I still would LOVE a rolling bag that can store all the tools and gadgets and a few supplies.

I have only done a few little projects, really just to test it out and figure out how to run the thing!
I have really only used it to cut vinyl, which is so much fun!  You can stick it to walls, phones, computers, the Cricut itself, etc.!  It comes with a few starter materials including silver vinyl, duct tape, cardstock, and iron on transfer paper.  I got a large roll of the black vinyl for Christmas which I think is a great basic thing to have on hand.

Here they a few of the things I have cut out:

I did receive a Hobby Lobby gift card for Christmas, but really wasn't sure what I wanted to do, or supplies that I would need right away.  Now that I have used it and have everything set up I have a better idea of a few projects I want to do right off the bat!  In the Cricut Design Space there are so many things that I never would have thought of that I am now dying to do! Of course, I also use Pinterest for inspiration as well! Hobby Lobby here I come!

I can't wait to show you guys what I create, and if you have any suggestions for fun projects let me know!!

Tip Tuesday---Cleaning Make-up Brushes!

TIP TUESDAY--CLEANING MAKE-UP BRUSHES

I have a tip for you today that I think is pretty cool!  Any makeup lover knows Sigma.  Their brushes are amazing and if you are lucky enough to own them, you know that I am right.  Our collections are never complete and they are always coming out with new things.  Awesome company!!

I'm sure a lot of you make-up enthusiasts have seen the Sigma Spa Brush Cleaning Glove.  I do not own it but I am sure it is great!

I have found a cheat way of cleaning our brushes without having to totally prune our little fingers! :)

You know those oh so pretty yellow dish gloves?  Yep, you guessed it, I use that to clean my brushes! They have a little bit of texture on them, they keep my hands dry, and it works just great!  To me, this is a cheap alternative to the Sigma version!

I am currently using the Bare Minerals "well cared for" Brush Cleaner.

I would love to have the Sigma one, but for now this is working great!!
Go try it and get those brushes all sparkly and clean!!

NYX Butter Lipstick Haul/Review

NYX Butter Lipstick Haul

I recently went a little NYX lip product crazy and purchased quit a few things.  It is so easy to get carried away on their website!  Thank goodness their products are inexpensive--but still such good quality!

The first set of things I want to tell you about is the Butter Lipstick.  I have had and loved the Butter Glosses for a long time now, so I though I would give the Lipstick in the this product line a try!  Not to my surprise, I was really impressed.

There is an awesome range of colors to choose from and the quality is great!

Here are the colors that I got:

They are nicely pigmented, creamy and really last a good amount of time.  I love how they feel on my lips.  Me and things that make my lips dryer than they already are do not get along.  These are great!  Not drying whatsoever. They leave a nice satin finish on the lips.  These are great for someone starting out their lip collection as they are inexpensive and just good lip products!  You can get a large range of colors without breaking the bank!

The price point on these is a whopping $6.00 each!  Go stock up and get your collection started!

Purple Eyes!

PURPLE EYES!

It's Friday, and I wanted to have some fun with my makeup!  Here is what I came up with!

I used only the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette.

I used Salted Caramel and Milk Chocolate in the crease.
Black Forest Truffle is on the outer corner.
Candied Violet is right in the center of the lid.
Finally, I used Marzipan on the inner corner.

Lips are NYX lip liner in Mahogany.
and NYX lipstick in both Milan and Minimalism!

Enjoy your Friday and weekend!

Confidence is key!

Today was one of those days that red lips were completely necessary!  I don't do red that often, but it is really starting to grow on me!  What do you guys think?!

I think we should all be a little more brave with our lip choices starting now.  I am a sucker for any kind of pinky nude, and the "Kylie Jenner" lip color (not the overdrawn craziness, just the color), but I am going to start being a little more daring.

Showing off your lips in a bright color, to me, shows confidence.  We all need to be more confident, especially me.  I am pretty hard on myself and constantly worried about what everyone else is going to say behind my back.  I play with fun colors at home, but 99% of the time it is wiped off before I walk out the door.

I need to stop caring and do things for me and because "I" like the way it looks!  Walk with your head held high and a smile on your face with those big, bold lips!!

Starting now, help me work on this!  Hold me accountable!! :)

Own your beauty--inside and out!!  Have a great day loves!!
